Statkraft Solar Farms at Clonfad and Irishtown

Transport Insights is delighted to have supported Statkraft in achieving planning permission for solar farms at Clonfad, Co. Westmeath (a 174MW solar development) and Irishtown, Co. Dublin (a 32MW development). Transport Insights prepared Transport Assessments for these developments, assessing potential effects of the solar farms and mitigating impacts. Both developments have now been constructed and are operational, providing considerable additional renewable energy to the national grid, and reducing dependency on imported fossil fuels. Transport Insights previously supported Statkraft with their site at Ballymacarney, Co. Meath, among the very first solar farms to be constructed in the country.
