We are seeking to recruit a Graduate Transport Planner/ Modeller with a strong interest in developing transport planning and modelling skills within a consultancy environment. Person Specification
Qualifications
- A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Maths, Economics, Geography, Physics (or similar – essential)
- Working towards a Masters level qualification in Transport Planning or equivalent (desirable).
Experience
- A proven track record of self-management and delivery of technical assignments.
Skills
Technical skills:
- Keen interest in transport planning and modelling
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exposure/ knowledge/ skills in some of the following areas would be advantageous but not essential: TRICS, LinSig, Junctions (ARCADY, PICADY), AutoCAD, GIS, SATURN, VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SPSS, MS Access, VBA, SQL etc.
Communication skills:
- Excellent command of the English language
- An ability to communicate technical issues effectively and clearly
- Clear, accurate and concise report-writing skills.
Leadership skills:
- Strong work ethic and a determination to achieve goals
- Honesty and integrity
- Self-awareness.
Additional Requirements:
- Full clean Irish driving license (desirable).
