We are now seeking to recruit a Transport Planning Consultant with development planning and/ or transport scheme planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible and comfortable working as part of a team. Person Specification
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Engineering, Economics (or similar – essential)
- A Masters level qualification in Transport Planning, Data Science or equivalent (desirable)
- Working towards Programme and Project Management practitioner (desirable).
Experience
- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in transport planning or closely related subject.
- Strong transport planning and engineering experience, including familiarity with the application of GIS and CAD (both desirable) etc.
- A minimum of one years’ client engagement experience
- A proven track record of delivery at a project level.
Skills
Technical skills:
- Transport planning skills with demonstrable operational expertise
- Public transport (including bus service) planning
- Strong analytical (including GIS) and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail
- Good problem-solving skills.
Communication skills:
- Excellent command of the English language
- Effective presentation and advocacy skills
- An ability to communicate complex issues effectively and clearly for technical and non-technical audiences
- Clear accurate and concise report-writing skills.
