Tom Fitzgerald

BA, MSc

Tom is a Consultant Transport Planner with Transport Insights. Having joined as a Graduate in October 2023, he has since been promoted to Consultant Transport Planner. Prior to working with Transport Insights, Tom worked as a Project Worker for a Rotterdam based think-tank specialising in metropolitan development. He was awarded a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography and Environmental Policy from UCD in 2021 and a master’s degree in Spatial Planning Property and Real Estate Development in 2023 from Radboud Universiteit, Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

So far in his career, Tom has been involved in a diverse range of projects including drafting local travel plans, undertaking traffic and transport assessments, providing design advice, conducting research, and performing data analysis.

Tom’s key experience includes:

• Accessibility and permeability analysis utilising QGIS
• Design advice, guidance and development utilising CAD software
• Junction modelling using LINSIG and Junctions
• Data analysis using Excel
• Drafting of reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.
