Aoife O’Donnell

BA, MSc

Aoife is a Consultant Transport Planner with Transport Insights. She graduated from Radboud Universiteit with a master’s degree in Spatial Planning, Land and Real Estate Development in 2024 having completed her bachelor’s in City Planning and Environmental Policy from UCD in 2022. Prior to joining Transport Insights in August 2025, Aoife worked for a transport planning consultancy based in Nijmegen, Netherlands (Loendersloot International) for two years. During her time with Loendersloot she provided analytical and policy support to public and private clients in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy in relation to active travel and public transport infrastructure.

Aoife works on a variety of transport planning projects including Traffic and Transport Assessments (TTAs), Traffic Impact Assessments (TIAs), Mobility Management Plans (MMPs), and Public Transport Capacity Assessments (PTCAs).

Aoife’s key experience includes:

• Integrated transport, demographic, socioeconomic & land use data analysis
• GIS-based accessibility analysis
• Accessibility improvements’ options identification and appraisal
• Transport-oriented development masterplanning advice
• Technical report drafting
• Drafting of public facing articles including reports, website text and blog articles
• Stakeholder and public consultations.
