      Transport Insights is an Irish-based transport planning consultancy. With a team of internationally experienced consultants, we provide innovative, effective and deliverable transport related advice and cost effective, sustainable solutions.

      We offer a wide range of transport planning related services to clients in public and private sectors including active travel and sustainable mobility, data analytics, feasibility and optioneering studies, parking analysis, public transport planning, traffic and transport assessments, transport appraisal, and transport modelling.

      Our projects require a broad range of skills and the ability to deliver quality work within a fast-moving and deadline-driven environment. We are now seeking to recruit a Principal Consultant or Associate Director to work within our Infrastructure and Development Business Unit.

      The candidate should have considerable experience working within a consultancy environment, and a proven track record of leading development and/ or infrastructure schemes from initial concept, through subsequent feasibility and planning stages. The candidate should also be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible, while also performing effectively in a position of responsibility.       Person Specification

      Qualifications

      • A bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related subject (essential)
      • A master’s level qualification in transport planning or equivalent (desirable)
      • Programme and Project Management practitioner (desirable)
      • Chartered or working towards professional chartership, such as the Transport Planning Professional (TPP) qualification or Chartered Engineer (desirable).

      Experience

      • A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience in transport planning or closely related subject, predominantly within a consultancy environment
      • A minimum of five years in a leadership role, involving employee management and senior client engagement – exploring project requirements; scoping, pricing and drafting fee proposals; negotiating contracts; and subsequent successful project delivery
      • A proven track record of delivery at a senior level.

      • Clear accurate and concise proposal and report writing skills

      • Full clean Irish driving licence.
